Kinder Morgan shares are pricing in a 2.2% move following the company's July 22 earnings report, according to Bloomberg options data, though the stock has often delivered larger-than-expected post-earnings reactions. The timing of the earnings release has not yet been confirmed.
Historically, Kinder Morgan has exceeded options-implied moves in five of its last eight quarterly reports. In January 2026, the stock surged 8.4% despite options implying just a 1.3% move, while in April 2025 it gained 7.5% compared with a 1.7% expectation. The stock also advanced 6.4% in October 2024 and 5.3% in July 2024, both well above implied volatility estimates.
Not all earnings reactions have been positive. Shares fell 3.9% after the October 2025 report versus a 2.4% implied move and declined 2.3% in July 2025 compared with a 3.0% expectation. The most recent earnings release in April 2026 produced a modest 0.3% gain against a 0.9% implied move.
