$TRP Just out this morning. Wonder if the US is moving away from Enbridge line 5? Enbridge does supply some of these states? Good for TRP I think?
The Globe and Mail reports in its Friday edition that TC Energy has green-lit a
$900-million pipeline expansion feeding new natural-gas-fired power plants in the U.S. Midwest, as well as major refurbishments at the Bruce Power nuclear plant in Ontario. A Canadian Press dispatch to The Globe says the Northwoods project would add 400,000 mmBTUs (million British thermal units) of capacity to TC Energy's ANR system, which brings natural gas from Texas, Louisiana and Oklahoma to Wisconsin, Michigan, Illinois and Ohio. It is expected to come into service in late 2029 and is backed by 20-year contracts.
