Marriott International $MAR (2h) Bullish Flow: Smart money issweeping the Ask following a strong Q2 earnings beat ($3.19 adjusted EPS, up 20% YoY) and a full-year global RevPAR guidance raise to 3–3.5%. Option flow to price in $1.1B in quarterly buybacks, record pipeline expansion to 629,000 rooms, and $100M+ in upcoming annual card fees from new Amex/JPMorgan co-brand deals. 🐂 💧 Bull Key Level: $258.00 (Bull confirmation to break local horizontal resistance, reclaim the upper wedge boundary, and launch macro reversal) 🐂 🔥 Bear Key Level: $242.00 (Key structural support floor and multi-touch demand zone to defend) 🐻 ⚠️ Targets: $280.00 / $315.00 💰 🍺 Why: The 2-hour chart shows $MAR retesting a critical horizontal demand shelf near $248 . With U.S. & Canada RevPAR surging 5.0% and luxury leading the way, holding above $242 keeps the primary pitchfork structure primed for a violent move toward pre-earnings liquidity. #mar

$MAR $HLT Every time I’m paying $250 for a bed, hot water and a tv (plus $35 for daily parking, $25 for “amenity” fees) because my gf won’t tolerate camping, I’m reminded that these stocks are easy winners. Hotels are the biggest ripoff on earth but relationships depend upon “respectable” vacation bookings. Have you ever seen a woman’s face when you say you booked a Super 8? It’s like Edvard Munch’s The Scream. I’d still sleep in my car and swim in the ocean each morning if I was single. Don’t get me started on the $10 smoothies. I said we should bring a blender and make our own.

$MAR Good lesson here. I pointed out a couple of days ago that MAR’s earnings gap down looked like a mismatch after beat-and-raise results. The chart then printed a hammer-like rejection candle with bullish follow-through. That is what technicals do: reveal a possible shift in momentum. I would still call this a short-term reversal attempt, not a complete trend reversal yet. MAR closed almost directly at the 8-day EMA near $361.35. The next important tests are the 21-day EMA around $368.88 and the 50-day SMA near $377.81. Clearing those levels would strengthen the reversal considerably. A rejection below them could make this only an oversold bounce following the earnings selloff.

$MAR interesting chart. The stock took a 7.5% nose-dive post-earnings, Management raised full-year room revenue guidance and beat earnings expectations, and they still got hammered. This is a classic "dig deeper" scenario where the surface narrative does not match the tape.

$MAR: Strong lodging demand and higher fees weren't enough to offset a revenue miss and softer Q3 guidance, while Middle East travel disruption remains the key watch point. $MAR — May said Visa, Chase, and Amex negotiations were going well; guidance excluded any deal impact. August: agreements closed with JPMorgan Chase and American Express — Visa absent, no explanation offered — with $30M in incremental 2026 fees and a $100$125M annual run rate expected by 2028. World Cup came in at 45 basis points versus the 30–35 guided. The $50M May investment raise was attributed almost entirely to Lefay; August investment spend rose $200M more and Lefay was not mentioned. An ITR incentive program — up to 50 bps of gross room revenue, Marriott-funded — arrived the same quarter an owner letter surfaced in Q&A. Middle East impact narrowed to ~100 bps from 100–125. #TheGapReport

$MAR AND THEY STILL REPORTED EPS BETTER THAN EXPECTED AND GUIDED HIGHER FULL YEAR EPS. so when does better EPS mean bad??? this market is messed up. Revenue can always increase especially when macro conditions quiet down, BUT BETTER EPS on top of that is the REAL LONG TERM WIN!
