Xylem announced CFO William “Bill” Grogan will leave to become CFO of GE HealthCare. Xylem named Andrea van der Berg, currently SVP of Finance for its Water Infrastructure segment, as his successor effective Sept. 1, 2026. Grogan, who joined in 2023 and helped integrate Evoqua Water Technologies, is expected to stay through mid-September for the transition.
Xylem reaffirmed its Q3 and full-year 2026 guidance issued July 28, but investors focused on the unexpected leadership change, adding uncertainty around strategic execution. Broader market pressure also weighed on the stock as rising long-term Treasury yields, higher oil prices and geopolitical tensions between the U.S. and Iran pressured industrial and rate-sensitive shares, while the Nasdaq lagged on weakness in technology and semiconductor stocks.
Xylem shares fell to a session low of
$112.50, well below their 52-week high of
$154.27, despite unchanged financial guidance.
