$EIC why are they buying back stock after a dividend cut? Are they asking to pay the excise tax or something?

$EIC It’s crazy that this is up so much today because the last big ex-dividend date before the cut (from $.20 to $.13) is tomorrow. Then the stock price is going to drop like a rock again.

$EIC Checking the dividend history, they cut hugely and raise minimally. This is a $.07 cut, the first cut since Covid in 2020. Raises since Covid have occurred on average once per year and have been in the $.005 to $.02 range. The Covid cut was even less than this, $.0574.

$EIC Ohhh myyyy…. Divvi goes from $0.20 to $0.13! June be the last of the $0.20’s! So, you’re buying today for a 1-month flip or swing trade? Or are you buying for the revised 12% yield which used to be 16.5%?

$EIC Yet another disappointment. I got out around $13.08 for a 16% loss. Kept single shares in three accounts to get this month's DRIP, not that that will help much. But, at least I wasn't stubborn, like I was with a few other stocks this year, like IOVA and LASE, which I rode down to 50% losses or more.

$OXLC $EIC Lemmings really crack me up! They're willing to pay (atm) $13.3x (down 10%+) for a stock that was yielding them 16.25% and now yielding 11.6% on a 35% divvi cut. Yet, won't pay $5.00 for a stock that gives them a 21.6% yield (at $5.00) for a company that has better financials and no divvi cuts. Just say'n. 🍀🍀🥃💵💵💵💵💵💵🐄
