BancFirst Receives Fed Approval to Acquire AmeriBank and ABOK
BancFirst Corporation has received Federal Reserve approval to acquire AmeriBank Holding Company and its subsidiary, American Bank of Oklahoma, both in Collinsville, Oklahoma. The acquisition will strengthen BancFirst as Oklahoma’s third-largest depository institution. Initially, ABOK will operate separately before merging with BancFirst’s state-member bank.
BancFirst, based in Oklahoma City, has ~$ 14B in consolidated assets and ~
$12.1B in deposits, representing ~6.8% of Oklahoma’s total deposits. It also owns Pegasus Bank and Worthington Bank . AmeriBank has ~$ 381M in assets and ~$ 321M in deposits, ranking 74th in Oklahoma.
After the acquisition, BancFirst will hold ~
$14.4B in assets and ~
$12.4B in deposits nationally, and ~
$9.7B in Oklahoma deposits (~7.1% of state total), maintaining its position as the third-largest state depository.
