$UMAC total cost of parts to build one drone using the specified UMAC components was approximately $750. The report provided a breakdown of the approximate retail prices for the individual components when purchased through the public Rotor Riot e-commerce site for the U.S. Army's initial testing phase: UMAC 2087 Motor: Approximately $170.52 (likely a multi-pack, as single FPV motors are generally much cheaper). Brave F7 Flight Controller: Approximately $66.76 (retail price on the website is closer to the final sale price after discounts). Brave 55A ESC (Electronic Speed Controller): Approximately $132.77. Fat Shark Aura Analog Camera: Approximately $66.76 (retail price listed around $58 - $69.99). Fat Shark Aura VTX (Video Transmitter): Approximately $69.05 (retail price listed around $59.99 - $69.99). HDO+ Goggles: These were not included in the $750 drone build cost, as they are a separate ground control item for the operator.

$RCAT $UMAC "The DDP anticipates inviting 25 vendors to the Phase I Gauntlet with a planned start date of 16 February 2026. Participants will be selected based on responses to a Request for Solutions (RFS) anticipated to post 17 December, with final selections and notifications during the week of 26 January. Scoring will be public via a leader board and feedback will be provided. Scoring will be primarily related to achievement of two missions, likely to include 10.0 km strike across open territory and a 1.0 km strike in simulated urban territory, both with minimum 2kg dummy payload. Up to 12 vendors will be provided with fixed-price orders at the end of the Phase I Gauntlet. Vendors may indicate how many units they are able to deliver during each phase (with deliveries occurring in two tranches no later than 2.5 and 4.5 months after the Gauntlet). No vendor will receive an order of less than 1,000 units."
