In October 2023, Tilray completed an all-cash acquisition of eight beer and beverage brands from Anheuser-Busch for approximately
$85 million. The brands acquired by Tilray include Shock Top, Breckenridge Brewery, Blue Point Brewing Company, 10 Barrel Brewing Company, Redhook Brewery, Widmer Brothers Brewing, Square Mile Cider Company, and HiBall Energy.
Strategic Move for Tilray: This acquisition made Tilray the fifth-largest craft beer business in the U.S., significantly expanding its existing alcohol portfolio which already included brands like SweetWater Brewery and Montauk Brewing Company.
