$SAM "While the company has faced a few notable public relations blunders, from a purely financial and operational standpoint, the worst decision The Boston Beer Company (the makers of Samuel Adams) ever made was grossly overestimating the hard seltzer market in 2021, which forced them to destroy millions of cases of Truly Hard Seltzer. Instead of adjusting to a slowing market, the company overbought supplies and ingredients. Rather than discounting the excess product to clear inventory—a move chairman Jim Koch stated was "just not what we do at Boston Beer Co."—they chose to crush and dump millions of cases of perfectly good seltzer so it wouldn’t go stale. This single miscalculation cost the company a staggering $102.4 million in direct write-off costs and an additional $30.6 million in indirect costs in just one quarter." Other past fuck ups

$SAM -- The options priceing for this stock is worse than most stoks in the market . The buy and sell spread is is the worst and the MMs need to fix this nonsense if they want volume. My take.
