$BBAI Which one is better positioned for the TSA’s
$5B AI screening program—Palantir vs. BigBear?
Short answer: They’d most likely show up on different parts of the same team.
BigBear.ai is stronger on AI for baggage screening (computer vision running on CT scanners).
Palantir is stronger on data integration/command-and-control across devices, airports, and programs.
The TSA’s current RFI asks for turnkey, integrated checkpoint solutions, so awards will likely favor consortia with hardware OEMs (Smiths, Analogic, Leidos/OSI, etc.) plus software partners—exactly where both firms can slot in, but in different roles.
