In recent months Europe has been pushing hard on satellite connectivity, and the alliance between
$ASTS and
$VOD is the most concrete proof of it. In Germany, the main European satellite operations center for this new constellation is under construction, designed to link ordinary smartphones directly to space without the need for ground infrastructure. It’s a shift that could radically change the way we think about mobile coverage.
