$AMC You could make a case that the branded snacks and popcorn add marketing value by promoting brand visibility, and for a lot businesses that'd be true. But for a theater operator I think the benefit is limited. The average person going to see a movie couldn't care less about theater brand. They just go to the theater most convenient to them whether it's AMC, $CNK, $MCS, or whatever.

$AMC $CNK $MCS To put things in perspective, US movie theater attendance peaked way back in 1946. There was about 4.1 billion tickets sold in 1946. And that was with less than half (41%) of todays population! By 2002, that number was 1.6 billion. Last year it was 823 million.

$AMC I compare them all the time, along with $MCS and $CGX.TSX. I said comparing share prices is idiotic. It's meaningless because they have varied numbers of share. You compare market capitalization, not share prices.

$AMC None of you Apes begging people to "go see a movie" can give any legitimate reason why anyone would invest in AMC over $CNK or even $MCS or $CGX.TSX. Especially after AMC took 90% of your equity through dilution and is certain to go after the rest. None of you Apes can give a reason.
