AMC Entertainment ended an 11-day losing streak, closing flat at $1.68, though shares have fallen 99.5% from their $339.05 peak in June 2021. December has been particularly rough, with a 31% drop amid concerns over Netflix’s $83 billion acquisition of Warner Bros. Discovery (WBD), which raised uncertainty about theatrical release windows. The 2025 North American box office also underperformed slightly, reaching $8.24 billion versus $8.57 billion in 2024. Other theater chains, like Cinemark (CNK), faced similar pressures, with December declines and a 27% drop for the year. Looking ahead, regulatory approval for the Netflix-WBD deal, Paramount Skydance’s competing bid (PSKY), and a slate of major 2026 film releases—including Supergirl, The Super Mario Galaxy Movie, and The Hunger Games: Sunrise on the Reaping—could improve ticket sales and investor sentiment, potentially offering a rebound for movie theater stocks. $AMC $NFLX $WBD $CNK $PSKY

$CNVS seems like an epic fail on SNDN theater strategy imo. Let of people on reddit seemed to wanting to see it this week or closer to christmas. Small chance it isn't showing anywhere on Christmas. And lots of theaters showed it for like 6-7 days. Maybe those are the only days theaters would give them? Given long delays before it's on streaming service (not digital buy/rent), you'd think $AMC etc would work with them. Maybe a theater chain can buy controlling stake or invest in them? $CNK $AMC could invest a small chunk like $10M or so for a 20-25% stake.

Actionable Trade Alert for $CNK: Market Context: $CNK is currently trading at $21.93, near its 60D low of $21.6, indicating potential for a rebound. The RSI at 30.18 suggests that the stock is oversold, which may lead to a price correction. The moving averages (MA30 at 26.8 and MA50 at 26.74) indicate a bearish trend, but the proximity to the low and oversold RSI presents a buying opportunity. Directional Bias: Bullish. The oversold RSI and proximity to the 60D low signal a potential reversal. Trade Plan: - Suggested Entry: $22.00 - Stop Loss: $20.50 (risking $1.50) - Take Profit Targets: 1. TP1: $24.00 (8.18% ROI) 2. TP2: $26.00 (18.18% ROI) 3. TP3: $25.75 (17.39% ROI) With a stop loss set at $20.50, the trade offers a favorable risk-reward ratio, particularly with TP3 achieving over 17% ROI. $AMC I’m honestly not being snarky, but my average is $97. Is $AMC going bankrupt or what? Look at other healthy theater chains like $CNK and this is just pathetic. They also just lost a 15% run on $HYMC by selling short instead of holding after all these years waiting. Now it runs and they’re out. I just want to know what the hell is going on and do apes finally accept that they’ve been duped?

Actionable Trade Alert for $CNK: Market Context: $CNK closed at $23.81, currently exhibiting bearish momentum with an RSI of 33.25, indicating oversold conditions. The stock is trading below both the 30-day MA (27.13) and the 50-day MA (26.87), suggesting continued downward pressure. However, with the 60-day low at $21.62, there is potential for a rebound. Directional Bias: The oversold RSI indicates a possible reversal, while the proximity to the 60-day low supports a bullish outlook for a short-term recovery. Trade Plan: - Suggested Entry: $23.81 - Stop Loss: $21.50 (approximately 10% below entry) - Take Profit Targets: 1. $25.00 (5% gain) 2. $26.00 (9% gain) 3. $27.80 (17% gain) This plan targets a 17% ROI on the third take profit, capitalizing on potential upward movement as the stock corrects from oversold levels. Actionable Trade Alert for $CNK: Market Context: $CNK is currently trading at $24.65, below its 30-day moving average (MA30) of $27.34 and 50-day moving average (MA50) of $27.02, indicating bearish momentum. The RSI at 31.64 suggests the stock is oversold, presenting a potential reversal opportunity. Directional Bias: Given the oversold RSI and proximity to the 60-day low of $21.62, we anticipate a bullish reversal towards the 60-day high of $30.91.
