$GFL Disclosure: I currently have a long position in GFL. Attached is page 1 of a 7-page RBC Capital Markets analyst report on GFL issued yesterday entitled: "Highlights from the RBC Canadian Industrials Conference" RBC has an 'Outperform' rating on GFL with a $56 price target. RBC's summary statement regarding GFL in the report includes the following: "This afternoon, Patrick Dovigi, Founder & Chief Executive Officer, and Luke Pelosi, Executive Vice President & Chief Financial Officer, presented during day one of RBC's Canadian Industrials Conference. Overall, our discussion touched on pricing/volume levers, margin drivers, EPR developments, growth capex plans, and the outlook for M&A. We highlight key takeaways below: The evolution of the industry's pricing model supports GFL's price/cost spread — Management noted that the Waste industry has done a good job of shifting the pricing model over time from being predominantly linked to CPI-based increases toward putting through price increases that more accurately reflect the underlying cost inflation/operating dynamics of the Waste industry (e.g., using Waster/Sewer/Trash indexes, which we note are currently running above headline inflation). In turn, this transition is supportive of GFL's price/cost spread (i.e., margins) as the company is able to more accurately price for the inflationary pressures it is experiencing (e.g., Residential collection and post-collection pricing has gone from LSD% to MSD%). On volumes, management outlined that it is largely through its period of intentional volume shedding, with the business now at a relatively steady-state (should only see 'run-rate' shedding)."

$GFL Disclosure: I currently have a long position in GFL. Attached is page 1 of a 10-page Scotiabank analyst report on GFL issued Friday (5/2) entitled: "Doubling Down on Accretive M&A Acceleration" Scotiabank has a 'Sector Outperform' rating on GFL with a $56 price target. Scotiabank's 'Take' regarding GFL in the report includes the following: "Positive. We maintain our SO rating while raising our target to US$56 (was US$54) after Q1 topped expectations and GFL maintained guidance while noting upside from M&A. Volume growth and margin execution were better than expected in Q1, while management guided Q2 ahead of expectations. Acquisitions are on track to accelerate this year as GFL is now looking to exceed its typical targeted range, which would point to upside risk in guidance as well as our estimates. We have slightly increased our estimates for GFL as well as for its minority stake in GIP, which seems to be growing faster than expected based on disclosures on the earnings call. Our positive view on the stock reflects expected M&A acceleration, fast improvement in margin and FCF conversion, and investment-grade credit rating following the recent ES sale. Our rating is supported by attractive EV/EBITDA valuation at 16.5x / 14.3x on 2025E / 2026E (adjusted for minority stakes) vs. peers at 17.0x / 15.3x."

Attached is page 1 of a 13-page Raymond James analyst report on GFL issued yesterday entitled: "1Q25 Ahead; 2025 Guide Held for Now but Tracking Toward 2Q Raise" Raymond James has an 'Outperform' rating on GFL with a $57 price target. Raymond James' 'Recommendation' regarding GFL in the report includes the following: "We believe GFL's unique story through M&A/organic channels makes it a growth leader among peers. While M&A optionality exists, building tailwinds from a host of areas including price/operational improvements and balance sheet optimization should provide continued fundamental improvement. In addition, we believe the recently announced sale of GFL’s Environmental Services segment could prove a value-unlocking event offering up opportunities for solid waste M&A, share buybacks, and deleveraging the balance sheet. Further, as FCF generation improves and leverage moves closer to peers in time, we see continued positive re-rating opportunities providing a favorable risk-reward skew. We reiterate our Outperform rating."

Attached is page 1 of a 8-page RBC Capital Markets analyst report on GFL issued yesterday entitled: "Q1 Adjusted EBITDA ahead of consensus, ~7.5% of diluted shares repurchased and leverage at 3.1x" RBC has an 'Outperform' rating on GFL with a $53 price target. RBC's 'Take' regarding GFL in the report includes the following: "Q1/25 initial take – Neutral to modestly positive. Overall, Q1 revenue and Adjusted EBITDA were ahead of consensus estimates, while 2025 guidance was reiterated (which we read as being conservative given the strong Q1 and M&A activity to date; we expect an update at Q2 reporting). Of note, the company posted the strongest organic growth amongst its Waste Major peers and Adjusted EBITDA margin expansion at the high end of peers, which we expect to be well-received. Additionally, GFL repurchased ~8% of basic shares outstanding and the company's leverage was 3.1x exiting Q1 (in line with previous guidance/ commentary), which we believe positions the company well for continued M&A within the Solid Waste space going forward."

$GFL GFL Environmental reports Q1 cont-op EPS (58c), consensus 4c Reports Q1 revenue $1.56B, consensus $1.52B. "I am extremely proud of the hard work and commitment of our over 15,000 employees, as we delivered another strong start to the year," said CEO Patrick Dovigi. "Our exceptional execution drove industry leading top line growth of 12.5% and 120 basis points of Adjusted EBITDA margin expansion over the prior year period. Our strong performance, achieved amid increased macroeconomic volatility and unusually challenging weather conditions, underscores the resiliency of our business model. During the quarter, we used the proceeds from the sale of our Environmental Services business to materially de-lever our balance sheet to Net Leverage1 of 3.1x, the lowest in the Company's history. This not only accelerates our path to an investment grade credit rating, but also allows us to re-ignite our solid waste M&A engine. In addition, we repurchased 31,725,083 subordinate voting shares through a combination of our normal course issuer bid, participation in the recent secondary offering and directly from BC Partners. We intend to continue to be opportunistic on further share repurchases going forward. The strength of our first quarter results reinforces our confidence in achieving our full year guidance, and we look forward to updating investors on our outlook when we report our Q2 results."
