Update on this regarding currency allocation and building a bear real estate exposure side portfolio Decision to put a bit under 18% of cash on hand to $GLD at 296 for inflation hedge is looking very smart already, 301.73 overnight baby. May move more cash into it. I truthfully am worried for the USD and think Americans take for granted how strong it is. We could be in for a rude awakening Now have around 10% of my swing ira shorting real estate and have room for more but watching Still short $ABNB (118 avg this load but very nice profit buffer from past drop) Light scale $VNO short in 34s Decided to short $MAA instead of $BXP. Sunbelt exposure is too tempting. I don’t think shorting any of these three are going to lead to life changing gains but I DO think playing the downside on them will easily outperform spy and likely offer 15-25% roi No CTB and no real scenario where any explode exponentially nullifies disadvantages of shorting.

General game plan going into tmrw: assuming overnight green holdsI am likely going to scale out my dip adds of tech like nvda. Go 15% of CoH into $GLD . After reading up on most other falls, there is almost always a bull trap bounce for a few days/weeks before going down again, so just gonna take the bounce green and look for rentry. If that gets a double bottom, I’ll play the bounce but Deff will not be greedy riding the green O/N and will have trailing SL intraday JIC. The more I’m reading, the more I’m looking at developing a real estate short portfolio Currently looking to short $VNO - owns a ton of commercial real estate in high CoL financial districts, both for supporting business of staff and finance sector itself. Likely to take a continued beating. Also $BXP which has very high exposure to San Fran real estate and is being hit hard by vacancies. Also looking at sunbelt corp landlords. Snow bird Canadian decline is hurting Florida bad. Continuing $ABNB short too
