$KALU had a nice pop after the fire at Novelis.
I liked the stock before Novelis went offline.
It wasn't because of the news or the event. It was mostly because I used to collect cans every day and cash them in at a
$1.50 a pound.
Aluminum recycling is an undervalued business in America.
In the midwest you get .40 cents a pound for your cans. On the coast, you get
$1.50.
In California, they ship the recycles to China. China pays a premium for aluminum refuse in bulk.
But if the trade wars with Canada and China continue, bulk aluminum refuse is set to appreciate 500 percent.
It isn't as good as a ten bagger is quantum computing but it is a sure thing.
