When stock price is like a coil under pressure, 2 outcomes:
1. Bounce (coil holds, releases upward): the divergence reflects genuine selling exhaustion — forced sellers exhausted and expensive to hold and fundamental catalysts. The compressed energy releases as a sharp upward move.
2. Break (coil fails, no bounce): the "coil" was never really storing recoverable energy — it was structural fatigue. But this scenario is completely dead now.
