$TYG Being patient here, looking for 42s for next small lot, can we get under that by end of offering time? I still have the cash from selling this at 49, accumulating small lots on this downward move, but holding the main portion of the cash for offering day on 17 June.

$TYG This is a nice area of support at 43.80s. Will it drop lower? Unknown, but I am adding another slice here and still have a nice load of cash as we get closer to offering day.

$TYG I've decided to stay away from this until after the rights offering is digested and see how management invests all that new money they are raising. Nav discount clearly widening going into the dilution event. I have enough energy exposure in $AMLP so I'll keep this on a watchlist for now. Also, I understand the timing of missing the May dividend but Tortoise was strategic in moving up the June record date to make all these new shares dead for a good while.

$TYG Worst case scenario is dividend is reset to 0.32/share in July given we are diluting the shares 1:3. We have to watch out that they do not return capital to keep divy higher and smooth the impact...which will further damage the NAV.

$TYG The offering is not in benefit of shareholders...It is to have more assets under management so the company can make more money.....A CEF offering can pressure the dividend per share if the newly raised capital does not generate enough net investment income (NII) to cover the existing payout. The dividend may stay the same initially, but the risk of a future cut increases if earnings don’t keep up. Historically, CEFs that conduct rights offerings often see short‑term NAV and price weakness, but if the manager invests the new capital at attractive yields, NII can recover, stabilizing the dividend. The key is whether the offering was accretive (rare) or dilutive (common).....We are on the dilutive side...

$TYG What are people thinking about the TYG transferrable rights offering? Are individuals going to exercise the right and purchase shares at a discount? I am also wondering what will happen to the distribution...highly likely it will not be the same distribution rate given this event is expanding the share base....3 current shares yields 1 new share in the fund....this money will have to be reinvested and they could add assets that have a focus on more capital appreciation vs dividend payment....thus dilution potential on the divy front ahead. On the bright side more of a share base may help lower the overall fund expenses but that won't be immediate. Thoughts?

$TYG so looks like any shares acquired through the rights offering won't pay a divy until July TYG stockholders should note that the distributions payable on May 29, 2026, to stockholders of record as of May 22, 2026, and on June 30, 2026, to stockholders of record as of June 3, 2026, will not be payable with respect to shares of common stock issued pursuant the exercise of transferable rights under TYG's previously announced anticipated rights offering.

$TYG So who else that has been out is looking to get back in at a discount before the rights expiry? As I understand, I'll have to own shares by May 20th and price will be set based on average of June 11-17 with June 17 being expiration so new shares in late June to get the June divy. Now how low do we go?
