$SEAT i mean this HAS to get taken private right? Permira, General Atlantic, Advent, CVC, Bain Capital - there must be some PE shop tech teams digging in on this. I can even see
$DKNG or Fanduel digging in and looking to add a ticketing revenue stream to their business. There must be someone who sees the value here or am I totally wrong? GTCR will not want to lose money here.
Obviously challenging to compete against Ticketmaster and Stubhub but this is a still a solid platform from a user experience standpoint. I personally like it better than the rest and feel they usually have better prices (they almost just launched Lowest Price Guarantee)
SPACing and then the impairment charge are not signs of a failed business, rather greed and poor management. I can’t comment fully on management yet as I’m just digging into company but that impairment charge is ridiculous.
down 86% YTD and 95% over 5 years…it’s priced for bankruptcy here
