$PLUG $NRGV Energy Vault will own and operate Calistoga. An interesting development, looks like they want to arbitrage the electrons? Lots of these coming....
There are four elements to the project: a controller, battery units, fuel cell units, and a liquid hydrogen storage and distribution system. According to Energy Vault, the four units have shown “unprecedented integration.”
In addition to pushing back the initial delivery date from June 1, 2025, to Sept. 1, 2025, the amended contract would clarify that Energy Vault could operate the microgrid in a manner that includes exporting electricity to the broader grid during normal grid conditions....
Energy Vault describes its Calistoga project as the “world’s largest utility-scale, ultra-long duration energy storage project.”
