"The Breakfast Club," the influential morning radio show co-hosted by Charlamagne tha God, will stream live on
$NFLX making it the service's first daily live program.
Starting June 1, Netflix will air roughly 3 continuous hours of the live show, which originates from New York hip-hop & R&B station Power 105.1 FM. When the radio broadcast takes commercial breaks, Netflix viewers will get a mix of behind-the-scenes material, extended discussions & other exclusive bonus segments.
Under the original iHeartMedia deal, Netflix has been airing hourlong video podcast episodes -- boiled down versions of the radio program. "The Breakfast Club" accted for more than 40% of all Netflix podcast views during 1Q26, according to media-intelligence provider Samba TV.
The Netflix deal expanded the show's reach. "The Breakfast Club" podcast rose to No. 11 on the Edison Podcast Metrics U. chart for 1Q26-- its highest rank ever, up from No. 15 in the prior quarter & No. 24 a year earlier.
The deal with Netflix is the latest example of how the lines are blurring in the podcast business as the industry embraces video.
