$FJET My DD sucks? lol Quote: "While the Lockheed F-104 Starfighter is capable of zooming up into the stratosphere at high speed, they cannot carry heavier, outsized launch vehicles at the required performance that will allow larger payloads to be inserted into low Earth orbit." Their own SEC filings admit they literally do not have the planes required for their main orbital program (StarLaunch 2). https://www.twz.com/air/f-4-phantoms-sought-by-private-space-launch-company#:~:text=In%20an%20April%202025%20SEC,The%20filing%20reads%2C%20in%20part%3A https://www.sec.gov/Archives/edgar/data/1947016/000106299325008257/form1k.htm

$FJET is the lowest cost option for dedicated micro and nano satalite launches. Cheaper than SpaceX or Rocket Lab. That's their niche.

$FJET And you all want to know what LauncherOne's cost per kilogram was? Around $20,000 per kg... the same price Starlaunch II is expected to cost. Do you know why it failed? Why there was no demand? Because a SpaceX rideshare costs about four times less.

$FJET Look at the size of the rocket that they needed for it to reach only 230Km of altitude... after 13 years of R&D...

$FJET amazin.. he now is sharing the big rocket... that they didn't even started R&D... but they already know a thing about it... if successful developed they will need new planes to support it! The only two systems that actually managed to do this have already been retired due to a lack of usefulness: --- Virgin Orbit LauncherOne --- Altitude: ~230 km Payload to LEO: ~500 kg (about 5× more than Starlaunch2’s planned payload) First flight: 25 May 2020 Last flight: 9 January 2023 Development period: 2007–2020 (13 years) --- Northrop Grumman Pegasus --- Altitude: ~200 km Payload to LEO: ~450 kg First flight: 5 April 1990 Last flight: 13 June 2021 And yet FJET plans to spend years developing a product that others already built (and did it better), flew successfully, and ultimately discontinued very recently because it wasn't commercially viable. But FJET that is going to outsource everything to GE is going to be viable.
