Eastern International said its wholly owned subsidiary, Guizhou Tianrun Zhicheng Construction Engineering, secured a construction contract for a solar power project in China, marking the company’s entry into the renewable energy sector. The unit will act as a subcontractor on the Hebei Laiyuan 300 MW centralized photovoltaic project, with the first phase covering 50 MW of capacity. The contract is valued at about 42.5 million yuan (
$6.0 million).
Guizhou Tianrun will handle foundation work, installation of mounting structures and modules, cabling, and certain auxiliary materials, with construction expected to begin before the end of 2025. Management said the project represents meaningful progress in Eastern International’s expansion beyond its core logistics business.
