Trump declared war on US energy since he stole the election in 2024. Now OPEC will finish the job for him. Multiple failures coming up in the shale patch - highly leveraged $REI, $GTE, $AMPY and others will file Ch. 11 or 7, no doubt about it. 2026 will have more bankruptcies than 2020 and 2021 combined.

US oil companies are run by absolute crooks who don't care a hoot about shareholder returns. Chesapeake, Oasis, Callon, CRC, Gulfport, Denbury each worse than the other. Blackrock is right in shorting the entire US upstream sector to zero. It doesn't deserve a single investor dime. $AMPY, $GTE, $KOS, $REI are hanging by a thread after debt fueled expansions and equity dilutions that decimated their now-worthless stocks. They will all file bankruptcy this year, mark this post.

$AMPY anyone have an idea what Bairoil and Beta are worth? Trying to figure out what they are worth plus maybe $80 million in cash leftover after paying off the revolving credit line. Current market cap is about $187.4 million.
