$XMAX As of Aug 31, short positions stood at roughly 9.3 million shares, accounting for 14.46% of the float. The days-to-cover hit 18.7. On Sep 16, the stock borrow rate was around 11% (it topped 20% back in July), with only about 500,000 shares remaining available to borrow.
In plain terms: Shorts are overcrowded, borrowing is costly, and there’s barely any stock left to short. If positive news breaks or allegations get disproven, all the ingredients for a short squeeze are already in place.
It seems somebody is trying to short this stock, but I hold nothing but contempt for these shorts.
