The highest-priority follow-up target is a direct on-strike extension of the mineralized contact immediately north of the historic Batholith Mine. The survey also identified a newly interpreted intrusive body adjacent to carbonate rocks—a favorable setting for tungsten skarn mineralization. $WSRIF here's why the old mine was abandoned and why there's great promise here. The Rowland operation was tiny—only about 1,000 tons produced in the mid-1950s at 0.5 to 1 percent WO3, plus a small 1943 shipment. It was a small-scale, hand-mining effort with shallow shafts and open cuts, not a modern drilled-out mine. Tungsten prices crashed after the Korean War boom ended, making even decent-grade material uneconomic to chase further. The recent soil results and LiDAR showing multiple untouched zones along the skarn contact suggest the old operators simply stopped at what was easy to reach by hand—they never systematically drilled to test the full extent. So yes, there's likely more tungsten there—the old timers just didn't have the tools or the price incentive to go after it. Modern exploration with soil sampling and drilling can pick up where they left off. Stockwatch +1
