$SIDU $HBAR.X
$LAES $WKEY Research confirms that as of early 2026, the connection between Sidus Space (SIDU) and Hedera Hashgraph (HBAR) remains an indirect relationship through their mutual partner, Lonestar Data Holdings.
While there is no "Sidus x Hedera" official contract, they are two critical components of a single project: the first commercial in-space data center network.
1. The Direct Connection: Lonestar Data Holdings
Sidus and Hedera meet at a "crossroads" managed by Lonestar Data Holdings.
* Sidus’s Role: Sidus provides the hardware and "spacecraft-as-a-service." They have finalized an agreement to integrate Lonestar’s Digital Data Storage Payload onto their LizzieSat-5 satellite, scheduled for launch in late 2026.
* Hedera’s Role: Lonestar uses Hedera Hashgraph as its Distributed Ledger Technology (DLT) layer. Hedera is used to create an "immutable audit trail" for data stored in space, ensuring that once data is sent to the satellite, it cannot be tampered with or hacked without detection.
2. The "Space Web3" Architecture
The technical stack for these upcoming missions essentially looks like this:
* Infrastructure (The Satellite): Sidus Space (LizzieSat-5)
* Onboard Computing (The Brain): Sidus’s FeatherEdge AI (powered by NVIDIA Jetson Orin)
* Data Security/Trust Layer: Hedera Hashgraph (via Lonestar’s software)
* Launch Provider: SpaceX
3. Recent Developments (Late 2025/Early 2026)
* Commercial Pathfinder Mission: In November 2025, Sidus and Lonestar completed the System Requirements Review (SRR) for the LizzieSat-5 mission. This mission is the official "rollout" of Lonestar's commercial service, which heavily features Hedera for data integrity.
* LizzieSat-4 and 5 Progress: Sidus is currently manufacturing these satellites for a targeted Q4 2026 launch. These are the specific birds that will carry the "Hedera-powered" payloads into orbit.
* SHIELD Contract Speculation: There is ongoing market speculation that Sidus might utilize Hedera’s technology for its recently awarded
$151 billion Missile Defense Agency (MDA) SHIELD contract, given the military's interest in "zero-trust" data architectures. However, this has not been officially confirmed by the MDA or Sidus.
