Volvo Cars and Geely Auto signed a memorandum of understanding Monday for a European commercial partnership with Lynk & Co, pending final agreements. Under the deal, Volvo Cars will become the exclusive importer of Lynk & Co vehicles in Europe and manage the brand’s commercial operations in the region, supporting Lynk & Co’s growth while expanding Volvo’s sales and service business.
Volvo plans to leverage its dealer network to sell Lynk & Co vehicles and use its existing sales and service infrastructure. Erik Severinson, Volvo Cars’ commercial director, said the partnership broadens the customer base and allows Lynk & Co to reach its full potential in Europe.
Global development, product certification, and operations outside Europe will remain with Lynk & Co’s China-based parent, fully owned by Geely Auto Group. The agreement builds on existing collaboration where both brands already sell through shared dealers in select European locations.
