Just looked into the shareholding structure for $TMCR and found that the free float is less than 20% of total shares. The rest is locked up between the Hess family, founders, management, TMC, and family office investors. That's a pretty tight share structure.

TMC has conducted 23 offshore campaigns in the Clarion-Clipperton Zone since 2011. They've also accumulated nearly a petabyte of environmental data on the NORI project. That's a lot of research backing up the deposit that $TMCR has royalty exposure to.

Found out that $TMCR is anchored by some interesting backers. The Hess family and founders hold 41%, TMC the metals company owns 25%, and family offices plus high net worth investors make up another 28%. Free float is under 20% of total shares.

$TMCR for newbies: How DSM will happen (TMC context): Deep‑sea mining (DSM) advances step‑by‑step through a U.S. regulatory, technical, and industrial build‑out. TMC is stacking these steps in sequence—permitting, engineering, processing, and partners—rather than relying on a single approval. What’s already in motion -First consolidated NOAA DSM application filed and deemed “substantially compliant” -Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) process effectively underway via consolidated review -Years of offshore trials, environmental data, and system validation completed Near‑term catalysts (weeks to months) -Allseas commercial agreement expected soon, formalizing offshore execution -Texas processing plant feasibility study expected within months, unlocking U.S. government consideration -Continued NOAA technical & environmental review, increasing clarity on DSM permitting timelines Bottom line: DSM moves forward by clearing each gate. TMC now has multiple gates open—and several more nearing decision.

$TMC it’s so weird watching $TMCR thread. It’s like going back in time the last 5 years on this board watching people realize this is a once in a lifetime play. But why would you ever buy tmcr over tmc? I genuinely want to know

TMC has accumulated nearly a petabyte of environmental data through their offshore campaigns. That level of data collection shows how thorough the permitting process has been for deep-seabed mining. $TMCR benefits from all this groundwork without having to pay for it.

Just learned that $TMCR is backed by some serious players including the Hess family, TMC the metals company, and various family offices. About 66% of the shares are locked up with insiders and strategic investors, leaving less than 20% in the free float.

$TMCR is backed by the Hess family. As in one of the most successful energy investing dynasties in american history. That's not a random group of angels writing checks……
