Possibilities:
1. ZIM can realistically hit
$35 before pulling back to 32$ range tomorrow (for sure there will be a lot of sell orders at that price, taking profits)
2. will stay at the 32$ (+/-0.5$).
3. a squeeze beyond 35$ & then fall back to 32$ - 35$
I would like to refer to one recent example:
$SLAB, which got acquired by
$TXN at 231$/share but the deal has not closed yet.
Since the news was announced, the price has stayed constant at 207$. Around 12% less than the acquisition price. But SLAB had low short pressure unlike ZIM!
If ZIM follows SLAB's behavior, I suppose the price of
$ZIM will stay around 31.5$/share after the market opens tomorrow, around 10% less than the actual acquisition price because the deal is not closed yet. Deal Closing targeted for late 2026.
Short Squeeze Potential: A squeeze remains plausible: ZIM's short interest is ~13.3% of float (~15.9M shares), with 5 days-to-cover at avg. volume - enough for forced covering if momentum builds above 35$
