$SLAB
Silicon Labs beat Q4 estimates with EPS
$0.56 vs.
$0.54 and revenue of
$208.2M (up 25.3% YoY), but the company still reported a negative net margin (11.58%) and negative return on equity (6.04%).
The ONLY reason this is up is
Texas Instruments agreed to acquire Silicon Labs for
$231 per share (~
$7.5B), driving SLAB to multi‑year highs and setting a cash floor for the stock, though multiple law firms have launched investigations and several analysts have downgraded the shares.
You all know that. But, if they do not buy it, SLAB will owe about
$250 million.
You that bought before market close when Slab leaked it ,,, congrats.
But now I wouldn't put a penny in this.. TXN is Bid Daddy. Great Dividends. And if they do acquire SLAB well, all the better. Two Texas companies coming together.
But for now, I am bearish on Slab and bullish on TXN. Adding more shares to my Roth tomorrow if the usual Friday profit sell by Finance managers greasing thier hands with commissions .
