Riverview Bancorp announced a
$4 million share repurchase program, approved by its Board of Directors on August 20, 2026. The bank holding company can repurchase outstanding common shares through open-market purchases or privately negotiated transactions.
The program will remain in effect for 12 months or until completed, subject to market conditions, and can be suspended or terminated at any time. CEO Nicole Sherman said the authorization reflects the Board’s confidence in the company’s financial strength and disciplined capital management, allowing excess capital to be returned to shareholders.
Management was also authorized to establish a Rule 10b5-1 trading plan with Raymond James to facilitate repurchases during periods when the company might otherwise be restricted from trading because of material nonpublic information or internal blackout periods.
Riverview Bancorp, parent of Riverview Bank and Riverview Trust Company, had
$1.47 billion in assets as of June 30, 2026.
