Phoenix Education Partners, Inc. began trading on the New York Stock Exchange on Thursday at 
$38 per share, above its initial public offering  price of 
$32 per share. 
The parent company of The University of Phoenix, Inc. priced its IPO of 4,250,000 common shares at 
$32 each on Wednesday. The shares are being sold by existing shareholders, not by the company itself. 
Trading under the ticker PXED, Phoenix Education Partners oversees The University of Phoenix, founded in 1976 as a pioneer in online education for working adults. The university offers higher education programs designed to help students build knowledge and skills for career advancement, organizational performance, and community leadership. 
As part of the offering, selling shareholders granted underwriters a 30-day option to purchase up to 637,500 additional shares at the IPO price, excluding underwriting discounts and commissions.
