Nexa Resources delivered strong operating results in 2025 and issued a positive production outlook for 2026–2028. The miner met its consolidated production guidance across all metals, with zinc output totaling 316,000 tonnes in 2025. Cash cost performance was a standout, as consolidated C1 cash costs came in about 48% below annual guidance, reaching negative
$0.30 per pound.
The smelting segment also performed well, with metal sales of 567,000 tonnes, in line with expectations. Nexa’s Cajamarquilla smelter achieved record annual production, helping offset operational challenges at Brazilian facilities.
Looking ahead, Nexa expects zinc production to rise about 6% in 2026, driven mainly by higher output from the Aripuanã, Atacocha, and Vazante mines, followed by an additional 8% increase in 2027, with production stabilizing in 2028.
