The goal for the US stock exchange is to strengthen the commitment to capital formation, while ensuring investor protection and market integrity and hindering pump-and-dump activities.
What the new standards say
Specifically, the proposal would impose a minimum market value of
$15 million of floating for new listings on Nasdaq under net income standards, a minimum requirement of
$25 million for the collection of the initial public offering (ipo) for new quotations of companies operating primarily in China and an accelerated process for the suspension or delisting of companies with shortcomings in listing requirements that also have a market value of less than
$5 million.
