I’ve always wanted to own
$INTU $DOCU and
$ADBE LT (not trading) but never have.
Part of the reason is neither passes one of my 7 checkpoints which is ubiquity; ie. do I personally know anyone that uses the product on a weekly basis outside of professionally.
INTI has a fantastic opportunity here to leverage AI and turn Turbo Tax into what it truly can be and revolutionize the tax filing industry.
I stopped doing my own taxes once my Schedule D exceeded 5 pages but and some other complexities, and the accountant cost + attenuations vs my time is worth it but your average American should be able to do their own taxes especially if leveraging a trusted AI source embedded with the tax codes, etc.
INTU has a chance to seize the Jackson Hewitt,
$HRB and
$WMT based tax centers market and grow market share but until I can look around in my daily life and randomly point to 5 folks using the product, that won’t happen.
Better yet they should buy HRB, they’ve got the cash flow to do it.
