$EAF An immediate 50% tariff on goods from India, including those under Harmonized System (HS) code 8545, was imposed by the U.S., effective August 27, 2025. This aggregate tariff resulted from an additional 25% levy on top of an existing 25% reciprocal duty. The action was in response to India's continued purchase of Russian oil.
