$DRCR $ILUS - Smaller operators that represent about a third of the UK iCasino market could be so economically challenged by the hike in remote gaming duty (RGD), which will be introduced in April, that they will exit the market altogether, according to new analysis from Jefferies.
The analysts suggested that up to 2,000 separate brands, which together control ~31% of the market, could struggle to make a profit under the 40% tax regime unveiled in last November’s Budget.
Jefferies said they expect margins for unlisted, sub-scale operators will fall to levels that will likely make them unprofitable.
Probably should have sold this PoS when I told you, back at 5 cents.
