$CVU SAUDI ARABIA'S REQUEST TO BUY 48 F-35 FIGHTER JETS ADVANCES THROUGH PENTAGON REVIEW
The order for 48 F-35s would almost certainly go to Lockheed Martin (or via the U.S. government, in the case of a foreign military sales deal), because Lockheed is the prime integrator of the F-35.
Subcontracting / tiered sourcing
Lockheed would subcontract out portions of the work for structures, components, actuation systems, etc. That is how CVU (and similar suppliers) get involved — they win subcontracts to produce specific parts.
Lockheed Martin and CPI Aerostructures collaborate on the F-35 program through multi-year contracts
CPI Aero is a long-term supplier to Lockheed Martin, having secured multiple contracts to build F-35 components, demonstrating Lockheed's continued confidence in their capabilities
We also know that they work with Raytheon and if Saudi Arabia buys 48 fighter they will need missiles that are compatible for those planes
who makes the structural missile wing assemblies.....
