$COOT This whole RentBuddy transaction has a VERY long list of red flags. Starting with the fact that public UK records currently identify only one director: Hailing Fan; appointed 1/26/2026 (the day the company was incorporated); British national; 32 years old
The original announcement characterized the transaction as COOT buying shares from Fan. The amended structure instead had RentBuddyUK issue new shares directly to COOT, while Fan retained all 10,000 existing shares. Yet the total consideration remained US
$5.326 million, with payment going to an account designated under the agreement. That raises a legitimate due-diligence question:
If newly issued shares were purchased from RentBuddyUK rather than existing shares from Fan, did the US
$5.326 million go into RentBuddyUK as growth capital, to Fan personally, or through another agreed arrangement?
