$BADEF - I hsd Chat GPT run a discounted present value on the Hercules reported drill results. This is a rough estimate they came up with.
Very roughly, on the base-case numbers we’ve been using, the Hercules copper + silver “find” might be worth on the order of
$3.6 billion today (pre-tax, 8% discount) once you factor in extraction costs and a 2032 start, or about
$2.6 billion at a 10% discount. After a simple 30% tax, those drop to roughly
$2.5 billion (8%) and
$1.8 billion (10%).
Huge caveat: this is a purely conceptual DCF on a conceptual “resource,” not a NI 43-101 study. Treat it as “what would this be worth if our back-of-the-envelope tonnage and grade were real and mineable?”
1. What metal I assumed is actually there
Using the “base” case we already walked through:
Copper in ore: ~672 Mt of rock at 0.47% Cu → 3.16 Mt contained Cu (about 7.0 billion lb).
Silver in ore: ~85 Moz contained Ag (mid-case from the 25–300 Moz range we bracketed for the property).
