The existing equipment shortens some time until production and reduces costs meaning increased profits in this great gold environment. Their exploration profile has good upside as well. Anything around this price and under one dollar is a buy in my opinion.

They last produced in 2013, but needed a better crushing circuit and higher gold. Expanded modern 1500tpd crushing circuit is on it's way and along with higher gold and 15K/oz bulk sample slated for H2 2026, this will re-rate soon. $AUMBF I've sold out at 20% loss. Disappointing PEA (in my view). CapEx came in higher, AISC is relatively high, resource is small (for now), some juggling of gold price assumptions, low amount of gold produced pa. Management still guiding for H1 2027 restart, but plan a PFS... seems optimistic to me (but possible) given the list of activities they plan to complete ahead of this. Most importantly - and perhaps why the stock is down today - is they will need to raise money to build the mine and/or continue exploration drilling to make the project more attractive. I can't see them getting debt or a gold stream because this would further worsen the project economics, and also because of the high amount of inferred in the wide resource (could be wrong). I don't think Alamos will buy given all these reasons, but also the historical mining issues. Likely entering the "Orphan Period" so waiting on the sidelines to see how the story plays out and also to avoid any dilutive equity raise.
