JFB Construction Holdings is reportedly set to merge with XTEND, an AI, autonomy and robotics company, in a deal tied to a multiyear defense contract potentially worth up to
$15 billion with the defense ministry of a European NATO member. The agreement includes approximately
$4.5 billion secured for the first year, highlighting growing demand for trusted autonomous systems as NATO countries seek alternatives to Chinese-made commercial drones.
XTEND provides AI-powered autonomy and software-defined robotics through its global XFAB manufacturing network and proprietary XTEND Operating System (XOS). The company offers NDAA-compliant systems already deployed by U.S. and allied forces and sees expanding opportunities in defense, national security and critical infrastructure.
JFB and XTEND said the SEC declared effective their Form S-4 registration statement on Aug. 11. The transaction is expected to close on Sept. 8, 2026, subject to customary conditions, including NYSE listing approval.
