TSP I-Fund TA using $VXUS (2 Day time frame): I can't stress enough the importance of monitoring the US Dollar Index $DXY when making decisions on entries and exits for the international fund. The breach of $DXY 's ascending channel gave the I-Fund the fuel to break out, yesterday, and for a nice follow through, today.

Thrift Savings Plan (TSP) I-Fund $VXUS $ACWX weekly review: we have a nascent bearish structure, with the loss of the supporting trend line and the 50 daily moving average (not pictured). The major regions that compose the majority of the I-Fund have either been in distribution and broken below the range (Germany) or pivoted to the downside. It is no wonder, as we see dollar strength climbing and on the verge of a breakout. Until we see some weakness in the dollar, these international funds might be something to avoid for the TSP swing trader.

Thrift Savings Plan (TSP) I-Fund $VXUS : This fund has been outperforming U.S. C and S Funds, and there is still room for more upside. A lot of this is due to the weakness of the U.S. Dollar. When the dollar weakens, foreign companies' earnings are higher when converted to USD. Emerging markets that rely on dollar-denominated debt can save money servicing their debt.
