$CCJ $NXE $DNN It Makes More Sense to Produce Hydrogen With Nuclear, Not Renewables ~Sept 06, 2025 Hydrogen is often thought to be linchpin of a future 100% renewable economy. To make up for wind and solar's deal-breaking intermittency the surplus cheap electricity that renewables produce during times of abundance would need to be channeled into splitting water molecules into hydrogen and oxygen. But is this scenario really the most cost-effective and environmentally-friendly option? In Europe in 2023, hydrogen made VIA METHANE REFORMING 👉cost $4.39 USD/kg and produced emissions of at least 11.6 kgCO2e/kgH2. Since a NUCLEAR REACTOR is almost constantly running as "baseload" power, researchers estimate 👉cost of hydrogen with this setup would be $2.71 USD/kg with paltry carbon emissions of 0.3 kgCO2e/kgH2. After the announcement of a 3Mlb lower uranium production at McArther River (CCJ & Orano) in 2025 after the closing of the trading day yesterday, the uranium spotprice jumps higher today. Before that it was Kazatomprom lowering 2026 uranium production by 8Mlb The uranium price is now at 76.25 USD/lb $URA $NXE $EU $URG $PALAF
