Blackbaud announced a partnership with Anthropic to create a fundraising connector for Claude for Nonprofits while also expanding its share buyback program. The Charleston-based social impact software provider will integrate its data intelligence layer with Anthropic’s AI, launching the connector for Raiser’s Edge NXT on Teams and Enterprise plans to give clients fundraising insights within existing platforms. The move aligns with Blackbaud’s AI strategy, including its new “Agents for Good,” virtual team members handling nonprofit workflows, with the first Development Agent already in early access. At the same time, the board expanded its buyback authorization from
$800 million to
$1 billion; the company has cut shares outstanding by over 10% since late 2023 and repurchased 2.7 million shares in 2025, lifting its expected 2025 buyback range to 7%–8.5% of shares outstanding.
