$TEF is showing an attractive short-term technical setup after trading ex-dividend, a factor that has temporarily weighed on the share price without altering its underlying structure. Dividend adjustments often create misleading price weakness, but the chart suggests buyers are gradually regaining control. On the 5-minute timeframe, momentum is improving with higher lows and increasing buying pressure, indicating the possibility of a breakout if nearby resistance is cleared. The 30-minute chart remains constructive, preserving its short-term uptrend and supporting the case for further upside. If current support levels continue to hold, TEF could offer an appealing risk/reward opportunity for swing and short-term traders seeking exposure to a potential bullish continuation following the dividend adjustment. As it manages to hold 3.30 EUR bulls still have a chance.

To me, right now cash is king. Play selectively. I am getting emails from followers asking me for assessment. I would be holding defensive plays - $CPB $HE $TEF a few small capa based only on set ups short term and the rest cash. I reckon soon it will open window of opportunity since intraday volatility will pick up as we near summer end. Send me your messages to mailto:[email protected] for an inmefiate response. Thank you all for your continued support.

$TEF in the past 6 months it has been underperforming IBEX-35 where only shine banking stocks. I do remember back in early nineties when Telefonica was a marker mover. Circumstances have changed and it is no longer a beloved one…when that happens to me is a clear buy signal for such stock. Holding strong. Value player. PER value undervalued compared to other peers. Confirmed 0.15 cents dividend for 2027. Must-have-stock if you play in Europe over the long run.

BlackRock has increased its stake in Telefónica for the fifth consecutive time, lifting its holding to 6.24% from 5.94% in April. The position, built through shares and financial instruments, is valued at approximately €1.3 billion ($1.48 billion) and cements BlackRock as the Spanish telecom group's fourth-largest shareholder. The asset manager has raised its ownership twice in June despite recent weakness in the stock. Telefónica shares declined for six consecutive sessions between June 15 and June 22 before rebounding 2.6% on Tuesday. During that period, the company paid the second 2025 dividend installment of €0.15 per share, completing a total annual dividend of €0.30 per share. Telefónica has announced it will reduce its 2026 dividend by half to €0.15 per share. $BLK $TEF

$TEF short term strategy. Buy CALLS. Strike out of the money. Pay little premiums and see if there is any merging news in the horizon. I always thought $KPN.X and $TEF could merge, actually it was a dream by Villalonga back in 1999 that could be possible but it was rejected by EU Telecommunications Comission because they thought it could imply market dominance. Perhaps in 2026 the landscape has changed. No wonder why $KPN.X has already moved to breaking out mode😉

$TEF has been surprisingly weak in the past 6 months. Holding strong even though dividend has been slashed by management. Hopefully Murtra’s team will deploy any M&A activity soon. Next level to watch 3,30€. Going under it could trigger further selling pressure. Value player.
