Telefónica is considering delisting from the NYSE after nearly 40 years, aiming to focus on the Spanish and German markets, according to Vozpópuli. The company, which has a market capitalization of €26.4B, closed Monday in Spain at €4.62, a price roughly in line with its NYSE valuation.
Telefónica, under CEO Marc Murtra, is pursuing a strategy of structural simplification, including divestments in Latin America, growth initiatives in Europe, and cost reduction efforts. While the documentation to leave Wall Street is reportedly being prepared, the decision has not yet been finalized, and the company has declined to comment.
