Does anybody have $HMLPF in an e*Trade account? etrade classified the dividends for the first 3 quarters of 2023 as non-qualified rather than qualified because of confusing language in HMLPF's tax information form (https://s22.q4cdn.com/766559106/files/doc_downloads/faq/2024/03/HMLP-Website-Tax-Information-2023.pdf). As you can see, the 2nd paragraph clearly states the dividends are either qualified or return of capital. But the Hoegh idiots then go to mention in the table that the dividends are ordinary (which means "non-qualified"). This would make them get taxed at the normal tax rate rather than 15%

If $HMLPF was not on the expert market, they would jump to $25 today since there are no more legal troubles for $HMLP

Some very good news for $HMLPF: the dispute the Indonesian charterer regarding FSRU Lampung has been settled: https://publish.ne.cision.com/Release/ViewReleaseHtml/6E760E70EDCD40DF

I have an outstanding order to buy $HMLPF @ $12.72. Today, 2,500 shares traded at $12.65 today but bypassed my buy order from the Fidelity account. So I think the market maker for this stock is cheating and buys for itself shares at low price ($12.65) ignoring better offers In other words, I think something like this happens: if you want to buy shares, they will not let you buy below $13.50 or $14. But if you want to sell, they will not let you sell for more than $12.65 Is there somewhere you can complain about this?

I opened a Fidelity account because it seems the only US broker that allows you to buy $HMLPF

Does anybody have any idea why $HMLPF dropped 36% today?

$HMLPF reported pretty good earning. I wasn't thrilled to see they paid a big dividend to common shareholders. I guess I should consider that a good sign because they can't pay common dividends unless the preferred dividends are paid in full. But I did like it better when they kept all the earnings to strengthen the balance sheet
