I know it's been brought up by others on this board. Chevron $CVX also visited $HYSR a while ago. Would fit nicely to what Chevron just kicked off a few months ago. $IEP this article suggesting to buy $CVX over IEP is foolish. If it simply said IEP was higher risk I would agree. But here are the problems. 1. CVX keeps boosting it's dividend! (Who cares it's still 4% vs. 23%). 2. IEP stock price is super low due to the short report! (Uh buy low sell high?) 3. Carl Icahn owns 86% of the shares so they can afford to pay a much higher dividend because he takes units! (I'm not sure how this can be construed as anything but a good thing. The fact that IEP can easily pay the 23% dividend for the next 10-20 years because they only pay cash to 14% of investors is great!
