@Monkey_Banana_Genius my only XLE name is $TRGP, sold off pretty much all of them, including $FANG (one of the best run west Texas name) and moved the money to IGV/crypto names over there last year. One of the issue I noticed is that some of these west Texas names has been limiting their drilling permits and scaling back drilling activities to let the market catch up with the supply side gluttony. Though there oil firm can survive even at $40/barrel, they want to ideally keep the price between 80-100. I may buy back my O&G names if I start seeing ramp up activities in the west Texas.

$HUSA $DVN $OXY $FANG $RIG Baseline positions in each of these Companies, should escalations continue in Ukraine/Russia and the Middle East, respectively. Many of these are undervalued by historical measure and create the opportunity for good investing positions to start/build/add (IMO).

@JacoI3 @Iknownothing777 $DVN surpasses $FANG on most market even though Devon is half the size. Diamondback has benefited from being in Devon’s shadow showcasing a third of the volume traded and a quarter of the shares traded that Devon is dealing with. Devon’s shares shorted are closing out while Diamondbacks is growing, same with call put ratios. I’m thinking the shorts are rolling out of Devon and into Diamondback, which has been the plague of Devon share growth.

@MoonWilkins lol Ricks cool, but the shorts piss me off. This beats $FANG all the time even after their merger, but Devon is still shorted almost 4x their shorts.

@Stockicon tbf the financials of this are better than $FANG even after their merger, and Devon is at half the market cap. Devon is producing 2x the revenue of Fang, and has 3x the daily volume. Why is it being pushed low? This is also shorted 3-4x that Fang is, that’s ~ the same as $COP. Shorts have started closing up their positions as the shares shorted are decreasing greatly, while Fangs is increasing. I’m hoping they roll out of Devon and into something else, as well as green energy investors start to roll in with the new administration.
