European stock markets closed mostly lower on Thursday, after U.S. President Trump threatened to impose 200% tariffs on alcoholic products from the European Union, escalating further towards a full-blown global trade war.The threat if a new U.S. tariff comes after the EU moved to reinstate a 50% import tax on American whiskey. Spirit-makers Pernod Ricard & Campari fell -4% & -4.3% respectively, with the food & beverages sector lost -0.2%.
